Hi everyone!
If you’ve browsed tournament results on the site over the past few years, you’ve probably already noticed the little icon next to some players’ name. It leads to their profile on Metafy, a platform where players offer services like coaching sessions and guides. Deck guides in particular have been growing a lot in popularity recently, which is why I’m happy to announce that we are extending our partnership with Metafy in this area!
Going forward, Metafy authors will be able to connect their guides to our database of tournament results and list them on the deck’s profile page, as well as their personal player profile. This means that if, for example, someone is looking for a Gardevoir guide, they’ll be able to go to the deck’s page, and get a list of all the available Gardevoir guides, instead of having to filter through a bunch of guides about other topics. Furthermore, the connection to player profiles makes it trivial to check what the author’s tournament results with the deck are!
We hope that those of you who buy or sell guides on Metafy will find this feature useful. If you have suggestions for things you’d like to see improved, just let us know.
If you are publishing on Metafy and want to list your guides on the site, please follow the instructions below.
How to List your Guides
Make sure you are logged into your Limitless account and go to mfy.limitlesstcg.com. Connect your Metafy account to your Limitless account there.
After you have connected your Metafy account, you need to connect your player profile. If your Metafy tag is already saved in our database, this step should happen automatically. Otherwise, you need to submit a request and wait for an admin to approve it (this is done manually to verify that the Metafy profile does indeed match the player profile).
Once that’s done, click the Sync with Metafy button to retrieve a list of all the guides you published on there. Next, click on a guide you want to list on our website. You will get the option to assign what deck that guide is about. Finally, click save and you’re done!
Additional notes:
- If you publish a new guide, repeat the same process. Use the sync button to download the guide info, click on it to assign a deck, and then save.
- If you publish an update for a guide and want that to be reflected on the site, use the sync button again. Any updates to title, picture, description, price etc. will then automatically be applied to the listing on the website.
- If your guide is not centered around one specific deck, do not assign a deck to it, even if it is addressed in part of the guide. That feature is intended for deck guides, not other types of articles. You can still publish your guide without a deck, to be listed on your profile profile and the Metafy hub.
